Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument
The Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, located in Northern Arizona, is known for its 1,000 foot high cinder coan and diverse lava flow trails. Only 900 years since its eruption, it is the youngest volcano on the Colorado Plateau. Over 3,000 acres of geologic wonder, the park's two paved trails lead visitors through numerous lava and cinder formations.
