Petrified Forest National Park
The Petrified Forest National Park, located in Northern Arizona within the Painted Desert, is known for having one of the world's most colorful and largest concentrations of petrified wood. The park's boundary is over 200,000 acres with petrified wood ranging in size from gigantic logs to very small chunks scattered about.
