Camp Navajo Snowy Landscapes (Arizona)
Camp Navajo, located in Northern Arizona at Bellemont, is operated by the Arizona National Guard as a National Guard training site and munitions storage depot. Situated in 44 square miles of heavily forested to grassy, gently rolling to steep hilly terrain approximately 7,100 feet above sea level, Camp Navajo was created in 1942. John S. Westerlund wrote the book "Arizona's War Town: Flagstaff, Navajo Ordnance Depot, and World War II" that is centered around this historic site. Read more about this ordnance depot at the Camp Navajo Home website.
